Asiana Beauty Box

Hi ladies! Asiana were kind enough to send me their first ever beauty box. The box itself contains over £70 worth of goodies from skincare to makeup & also has little cheat cards with reviews & looks to inspire you. The beauty box retails at £25 (I know! £25 for products worth over £70). What a steal.

First of, the packaging the products came in is so pretty! You would know my reaction if you follow me on Snapchat :)

In my Asiana Beauty Box, I received the following:

  • Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner with a brush which I am officially obsessed with.
  • Smashbox primer which I am 100% going to purchase the full size of.
  • Mac false lashes extreme mascara
  • Estée Lauder primer which I already have in a full size.
  • Bobbi Brown pot rouge for lips & cheeks
  • Estée Lauder perfectly clean triple action cleanser
  • Clinique all about shadow duo
  • Origins GinZing moisturiser

The Asiana Beauty Box is perfect for those wanting to try out new products. The little cards that come with it are perfect for those learning how to do makeup.  My most recommended items out of the beauty box are definitely the Bobbi Brown eyeliner, the Smashbox photo finish primer and the Origins GinZing moisturiser. So many of you were asking for a review on the Asiana Beauty Box and I finally got around to doing it. Hope this was useful for you ladies.

Truself Organics Detoxifying Face Mask

Those who follow me on instagram & snapchat will know that TrueSelf Organics (@truselforganics on instagram) sent me their detoxifying face mask to try out.
Before I get onto the review, I want to introduce the product & brand to you. Truself Organics are a skincare brand which specialise in natural products, their slogan being 'no bad stuff' meaning their products use all organic ingredients and are cruelty free.

The detoxifying mask has been formulated by Truself Organics using the finest natural clays without the use of harsh chemicals. A full breakdown of their ingredients can be found on their website.
The key benefits of the mask includes:
- Minimises Pores (which I noticed after just using it once).
- Improves Scars & Discolouration (which I am still yet to see results)
- Acne Fighting Ingredients (my acne has cleared up immensely)
- It is formulated for all skin types
- Prevents & Diminishes wrinkles

The face mask on its own costs $24.95 plus free shipping which is approx  £17.32 for 4 ounces of product which can be mixed with water or alternatively it comes in a kit including the mask, detoxifying solution, a mixing jar, a mask applicator & 3 variant measuring spoons for $34.96 which is approx £24.27.

Now onto my review:
I have normal skin and have never suffered from acne or any skin conditions. However, recently, my skin has been at its worst it's ever been. I have tried many acne fighting products and nothing seemed to be working. After I received the detoxifying mask, I honestly had no hope of it actually working. I've been using it for around 2 weeks and to my surprise, I have seen a massive improvement in my skin. I have inserted before and after photos below.

As you can see, most of my acne has disappeared just after using the mask for 2 weeks. I use it around 3 times a week which is recommended.

When you put the mask on, it does feel really tight on the skin which is a little uncomfortable at first but you get used to it after using it a few times. When washing it off, you need to be extremely patient as it takes a while.

Below I have included a step by step pictorial on how to use the mask..

Overall I would highly recommend this face mask to my acne prone ladies out there & also anyone who's skin needs a little TLC now & again.

I hope this review was useful to you ladies. Please tag me on instagram if you do happen to purchase the mask.

Becoming a makeup artist?

Lately I've been getting tons off emails & messages from ladies who are thinking of becoming a makeup artist or just starting up so I thought I'd share a couple of tips that helped me start up.

As you probably already know, the beauty industry is constantly growing with new makeup artists coming out everyday. Social media has helped hundreds of makeup artists start their own platform and advertise their work. So tip #1 is get active on social media and keep at it. Persistence is key. The more you post, the more interest you will get.

Tip #2: Start building your kit slowly. Don't just buy random products and waste money. Invest in products you will need and will be using in your kit. When I first started off, I invested in a lot of palettes. They work out cheaper and are also easier to travel with. You don't need to buy tons and tons of makeup straightaway. Build your kit slowly.

Tip #3: Applying makeup on yourself is extremely different to applying makeup on other people. Start by practicing on friends and family before you start taking bookings. Odds are, if you're only used to applying makeup on yourself, you will struggle on your clients. Remember, practice makes perfect.

Tip #4: Create a business card. This is the cheapest form of marketing for a makeup artist or any business.

Tip #5: Don't compare yourself to other makeup artists. There are tons and tons of makeup artists out there. The worst thing you can do is compare yourself to them and put yourself down. Everyone grows at their own speed. Set your own goals & work towards them slowly. You're not in competition with anyone.

I hope this post helps some of you ladies out who are becoming makeup artists. Until next time, Taz x

2015 Beauty Favourites

Hi ladies! I know this is extremely late but better late than never right? This might be a long post so grab a cuppa & read on x

My first favourite of 2015 are these Kiko Precision lipliners. I got them in the shades 300, 302 & 304. These lipliners are perfect dupes of Mac lipliners. Now, I believe they have been discontinued so I'm hoping they do bring them back.

Keeping on the topic of lips, another product I've been using all year round is Gérard Cosmetics 1995 lipstick. It's so long lasting & it's the perfect everyday mauvey brown shade. Love!

Now moving onto face. I've been using the EX1 Invisiwear foundation nearly every day & it's my favourite foundation by far. It doesn't feel thick or heavy but it covers everything. I have the shade F200 which is the same as Mac NC30. It's so long lasting & looks stunning in photos.

Moving onto Makeup Revolution baked highlighter in Golden Lights. Seriously, this highlighter literally glows in the dark. I use it on myself & on all of my clients. To top it off, it's dirt cheap. For £3, you really can't go wrong.

Another product I've been absolutely obsessed with is the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. I always get tons of questions as to what I set my concealer with & it's this. It's amazing what a bit of translucent powder can do. My under eyes seriously look photoshopped everytime I use this.

Moving onto makeup tools, the Nars Ita brush had to make it to my 2015 favourites. Now, when I first got this, I wasn't really amused. But after using it a few times, I fell in love! It's the perfect size to fit into the hollows of your cheeks. I even contour my nose with it. It picks up the perfect amount of product & blends it out amazingly. I haven't stopped using it since I got it.

To finish off, my favorite lashes of 2015 are the Red Cherry 523 lashes. These are literally my favourite lashes ever! They're so full & easy to apply. They instantly open up your eyes. I couldn't help but buy 6 pairs! I get mine on ebay.

That is it for now ladies. I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you would like to see next.
