Te Divina Detox Tea Review

Hi my loves,

Those that follow me on Instagram and Snapchat know that I've been having experiencing my skin breaking out (purely because of my diet and stress) so I decided to try out the Te Divina Detox Tea which I purchased from @iramb86 on Instagram.

I have tried the tea for 1 week and will be purchasing some more for myself and my sisters. I'm not one to want to lose weight which is a benefit of this tea for those wanting to shed some unhealthy fats. But I was more intrigued by the other benefits of the tea including immune system protection, anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory properties, help with indigestion and many more. If you're into your herbal teas, you will love this one!

In terms of taste, it doesn't taste bad at all. At first, I was sceptical as I heard some find it quite strong to drink. However, I didn't find it bad at all. If you do struggle with strong scents and tastes, you can sweeten it with honey, add lemon or make it into a smoothie. I have a step by step tutorial on how to make the tea on my Instagram.

I absolutely love the tea for when I'm feeling bloated and when my skin is going through it's 'bad' phases. It's amazing for flushing bad toxins out of your body and you'll definitely see faster results when accompanied by a healthy diet. Te Divina tea is currently very popular on social media and definitely lives up to the hype. I definitely recommend!

Thanks for reading my post. Hopefully, it was beneficial to you and you'll love the tea as much as I do!

Asiana Beauty Box

Hi ladies! Asiana were kind enough to send me their first ever beauty box. The box itself contains over £70 worth of goodies from skincare to makeup & also has little cheat cards with reviews & looks to inspire you. The beauty box retails at £25 (I know! £25 for products worth over £70). What a steal.

First of, the packaging the products came in is so pretty! You would know my reaction if you follow me on Snapchat :)

In my Asiana Beauty Box, I received the following:

  • Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner with a brush which I am officially obsessed with.
  • Smashbox primer which I am 100% going to purchase the full size of.
  • Mac false lashes extreme mascara
  • Estée Lauder primer which I already have in a full size.
  • Bobbi Brown pot rouge for lips & cheeks
  • Estée Lauder perfectly clean triple action cleanser
  • Clinique all about shadow duo

The Asiana Beauty Box is perfect for those wanting to try out new products. The little cards that come with it are perfect for those learning how to do makeup.  My most recommended items out of the beauty box are definitely the Bobbi Brown eyeliner, the Smashbox photo finish primer and the Origins GinZing moisturiser. So many of you were asking for a review on the Asiana Beauty Box and I finally got around to doing it. Hope this was useful for you ladies.

Truself Organics Detoxifying Face Mask

Those who follow me on instagram & snapchat will know that TrueSelf Organics (@truselforganics on instagram) sent me their detoxifying face mask to try out.
Before I get onto the review, I want to introduce the product & brand to you. Truself Organics are a skincare brand which specialise in natural products, their slogan being 'no bad stuff' meaning their products use all organic ingredients and are cruelty free.

The detoxifying mask has been formulated by Truself Organics using the finest natural clays without the use of harsh chemicals. A full breakdown of their ingredients can be found on their website.
The key benefits of the mask includes:
- Minimises Pores (which I noticed after just using it once).
- Improves Scars & Discolouration (which I am still yet to see results)
- Acne Fighting Ingredients (my acne has cleared up immensely)
- It is formulated for all skin types
- Prevents & Diminishes wrinkles

The face mask on its own costs $24.95 plus free shipping which is approx  £17.32 for 4 ounces of product which can be mixed with water or alternatively it comes in a kit including the mask, detoxifying solution, a mixing jar, a mask applicator & 3 variant measuring spoons for $34.96 which is approx £24.27.

Now onto my review:
I have normal skin and have never suffered from acne or any skin conditions. However, recently, my skin has been at its worst it's ever been. I have tried many acne fighting products and nothing seemed to be working. After I received the detoxifying mask, I honestly had no hope of it actually working. I've been using it for around 2 weeks and to my surprise, I have seen a massive improvement in my skin. I have inserted before and after photos below.

As you can see, most of my acne has disappeared just after using the mask for 2 weeks. I use it around 3 times a week which is recommended.

When you put the mask on, it does feel really tight on the skin which is a little uncomfortable at first but you get used to it after using it a few times. When washing it off, you need to be extremely patient as it takes a while.

Below I have included a step by step pictorial on how to use the mask..

Overall I would highly recommend this face mask to my acne prone ladies out there & also anyone who's skin needs a little TLC now & again.

I hope this review was useful to you ladies. Please tag me on instagram if you do happen to purchase the mask.

Becoming a makeup artist?

Lately I've been getting tons off emails & messages from ladies who are thinking of becoming a makeup artist or just starting up so I thought I'd share a couple of tips that helped me start up.

As you probably already know, the beauty industry is constantly growing with new makeup artists coming out everyday. Social media has helped hundreds of makeup artists start their own platform and advertise their work. So tip #1 is get active on social media and keep at it. Persistence is key. The more you post, the more interest you will get.

Tip #2: Start building your kit slowly. Don't just buy random products and waste money. Invest in products you will need and will be using in your kit. When I first started off, I invested in a lot of palettes. They work out cheaper and are also easier to travel with. You don't need to buy tons and tons of makeup straightaway. Build your kit slowly.

Tip #3: Applying makeup on yourself is extremely different to applying makeup on other people. Start by practicing on friends and family before you start taking bookings. Odds are, if you're only used to applying makeup on yourself, you will struggle on your clients. Remember, practice makes perfect.

Tip #4: Create a business card. This is the cheapest form of marketing for a makeup artist or any business.

Tip #5: Don't compare yourself to other makeup artists. There are tons and tons of makeup artists out there. The worst thing you can do is compare yourself to them and put yourself down. Everyone grows at their own speed. Set your own goals & work towards them slowly. You're not in competition with anyone.

I hope this post helps some of you ladies out who are becoming makeup artists. Until next time, Taz x

2015 Beauty Favourites

Hi ladies! I know this is extremely late but better late than never right? This might be a long post so grab a cuppa & read on x

My first favourite of 2015 are these Kiko Precision lipliners. I got them in the shades 300, 302 & 304. These lipliners are perfect dupes of Mac lipliners. Now, I believe they have been discontinued so I'm hoping they do bring them back.

Keeping on the topic of lips, another product I've been using all year round is Gérard Cosmetics 1995 lipstick. It's so long lasting & it's the perfect everyday mauvey brown shade. Love!

Now moving onto face. I've been using the EX1 Invisiwear foundation nearly every day & it's my favourite foundation by far. It doesn't feel thick or heavy but it covers everything. I have the shade F200 which is the same as Mac NC30. It's so long lasting & looks stunning in photos.

Moving onto Makeup Revolution baked highlighter in Golden Lights. Seriously, this highlighter literally glows in the dark. I use it on myself & on all of my clients. To top it off, it's dirt cheap. For £3, you really can't go wrong.

Another product I've been absolutely obsessed with is the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. I always get tons of questions as to what I set my concealer with & it's this. It's amazing what a bit of translucent powder can do. My under eyes seriously look photoshopped everytime I use this.

Moving onto makeup tools, the Nars Ita brush had to make it to my 2015 favourites. Now, when I first got this, I wasn't really amused. But after using it a few times, I fell in love! It's the perfect size to fit into the hollows of your cheeks. I even contour my nose with it. It picks up the perfect amount of product & blends it out amazingly. I haven't stopped using it since I got it.

To finish off, my favorite lashes of 2015 are the Red Cherry 523 lashes. These are literally my favourite lashes ever! They're so full & easy to apply. They instantly open up your eyes. I couldn't help but buy 6 pairs! I get mine on ebay.

That is it for now ladies. I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you would like to see next.

Skincare routine

Hi girls! I thought I'd start my new blog with my skincare routine. In order to perfect that flawless foundation routine, a good skincare routine is mandatory. For your makeup base to look good, you need to give your foundation a smooth canvas to work with. To achieve this, it is extremely important to establish your skin type to tailor the right skincare products for your skin.

I personally have combination skin. My t-zone tends to get a little oily and the rest of my face is pretty normal. I get the occasional breakouts but that really just depends on the weather, my diet and that horrible time of the month we all hate! Instead of treating spots after they come out, I try my hardest to prevent them from occurring in the first place. It goes without saying, a healthy diet and loads of water is the most important factor for healthy and supple skin. In terms of skincare, I use the Clean & Clear Advantage Face Wash. It says to use this face wash once daily but I use it twice a day and its still not harsh or drying to my skin at all. I have been using it for over a year now. I have tried many other face washes and I find myself going back to the Clean & Clear Advantage every time.

When I do get the occasional break-outs, my holy grail products are Quinoderm 5% which I get from my local Pharmacy. There is also Quinoderm 10% which I find extremely harsh for the skin. Quinoderm contains Benzoyl Peroxide which is great for drying out spots. Alternatively, I also use the Lush Grease Lightening gel which contains all natural ingredients including Tea tree and Witch Hazel which are anti-inflammatory and really good for soothing redness. The lush gel is a lot gentler on the skin but just as effective.

I also exfoliate my skin once or twice a week using the No7 Microdermabrasion exfoliator which is literally like a facial at home. I cannot explain how much I love this product. It gets rid of dead skin and leaves my skin feeling like a baby's butt! Alternatively, I highly recommend the St Ives Apricot Scrub.

Along with these scrubs, I sometimes use a cleansing brush which is optional. There are loads on the market , Clarisonic being the most raved about. But an amazing dupe can be found on ebay. Its just as good and the bristles are perfect for cleaning the skin without any harshness.

Once all the cleaning and scrubbing is done. it's so important to moisturise your skin regardless of your skin type. I have been using the Simple Light moisturiser for about a year now and I love it. It is extremely moisturising but isn't greasy at all. It also dries matte so its perfect to put your makeup on top.

Another important tip to remember is to remove your makeup every day (you'd be surprised how many girls sleep with their makeup on). I use the Superdrug combination skin wipes which do the job and smell amazing.

To finish off, I thought I'd include my lip scrub in my skincare routine (if it even counts as skincare). I absolutely love the Lush mint juleps scrub. Its perfect for removing dead skin and smells and tastes so good!

That brings us to the end of a lengthy blog post. But I hope this is helpful to you girls. Please keep me updated on what you want to see/read next!
